Charles is Chief Scientific Officer at 1Globe, a clinical-stage biotech company, where he helps develop next generation therapeutics in the lab and the clinic. As a physician software engineer, he developed a genomics-based assay for predicting chemotherapy response and built a drug development platform that uses data science to predict drug efficacy. He has numerous publications in genomics and gene therapy. He’s a runner, cyclist, and snowboarder. Dr. Li received his A.B. in Biology from Washington University in St Louis and his M.D. from Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Saltzman is a Professor of Medicine, part-time at Harvard Medical School and Senior Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He served as the Director of Endoscopy at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Director of the Brigham and Women's Hospital Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program for 12 years. Dr. Saltzman currently serves as a Trustee of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the Board of Trustees liaison for Educational Affairs, and is a past Chair of the ACG Educational Affairs Committee, and the ACG Governor for Massachusetts. He has also served as the President of the New England Endoscopy Society and is a founding board member of the Massachusetts Gastroenterology Association. Dr. Saltzman has authored more than 300 articles including original research, reviews, and chapters and he is an expert in general and advanced endoscopy, as well as the management of gastrointestinal bleeding. His editorial activities include being Senior Associate Editor of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (GIE), Section Editor for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy for UpToDate and Associate Editor of the New England Journal of Medicine Journal Watch Gastroenterology.
