On a brighter note, the death rate of cancer in men has declined 1.8% per year over the past 5 years.
The decline of cigarette smoking is believed to contribute to the decrease in cancer deaths.
This study was one of the largest surveys of cancer outcomes covering 3.6 million total cases in men.
